Baby is the reason for the blog

Well, we Taylors (of the East) had a pretty good weekend. SO good that the Ol' Ry-ry had every reason to write about how great the Baby was when Wifey and I took her to the local Triple-A baseball game. She did so well, especially considering we took her out after her bedtime, to a crowd, with loud speaker noises and generally not being comfortable as she was nowhere near her bed. So she was great, when she did wake-up, she didn't cry or get fussy. She just opened her eyes and did a little cooing and looking around. And this was the second day in a row, after having been to the symphony in the park on Thurs. night. It was aces, and Wifey and I were able to enjoy the game and some good conversation with a buddy of ours. The kid was great, and made me very happy that my baseball fix was pacified.

That was Saturday, and then Sunday we had a problem with the kid. That is to say I had a problem, while Wifey laughed it up. It was the first of what I fondly refer to as the "first of many times" I'll be stubbing my toe on baby's toys.

So with that in mind, I will now only purchase her toys that are soft. That means you, too, grandparents. No more hard plastic in the house. No wooden blocks. No concrete blocks. No outdoor swings to install. Come to think of it, can we return this kid and get our money back? Never mind, she's cute enough to accept the little things.

This one made me laugh. One day soon you're going to trip over a toy and Maevy's going to laugh at you! It'll be so cute!
