I'm feeling knee pain. There I said it. Happy? I hope so.
Here's some more for you: My left knee has a constant dull pain, and a sharp, shooting pain when I try to flex the knee out straight. It sucks. Apparently it's the scar tissue (I'm gonna have to download that Red Hot Chili Peppers song again) that is in there and hampering the straightening of the leg, which is a bummer.
Another thing I'm feeling bad about is that the PT told me that all the work we're doing now is all focused on the muscles around the knee just to get ready to do the work of getting the knee actually back to a usable place. The kick in the crotch on that is that it will take about 5 months before this damned dirty, stinky, baby powder-covered brace is removed. Waaaaa! I'm in a brace. Waaaaa it's uncomfortable. Waaaaa I'm a big baby.
So that's where we stand at this time. I know we're all thinking that it would be nice to tune and see that something other than another boring post about my "Lisa Left-Leg" Bulls$!%, so how would you like a little recap of painful moments that happened between Sept of 08 and these recent posts:
(in no real order)
- sliced thumb with a chef's knife I'd just sharpened
- before the surgery, as I was leaving the house down the back stairs outside, during a recent overnight freeze, I slipped down the stairs after one step and was lucky enough to catch myself with the left hand on the way down (nice scrape there) and got the sweet left knee twist action too - that hurt for about 3 days, and is a good candidate as to where I may have torn the meniscus
More to come?????
